Night clubs, Casino or perhaps a café? Funchal may not belong to the top ten major nightlife destinations, but it´s numerous restaurants, bars, cafés and clubs will guarantee you a fun night out filled with entertainment.

Regardless of how and where you decide to spend your evenings, you can be sure that you will never be bored.

Most of Madeira’s nightlife is centered in Funchal. Many of the hotels offer live entertainment during dinner while traditional music and folklore are performed for guests at restaurants in and around the Island.

Ofcourse Madeira nightlife has to have entertainment for the young and young at heart. 


One of the oldest and most popular night clubs in Funchal is Vespas. Renowned for it’s young fun crowd and all night parties, Vespas is now divided into two parts offering music for both the young and the not so young!

Things here don’t get cranking til at least 1am, and the partying lasts til 8am, when the sun comes out! It is located in the dock area, just opposite the CR7 Museum.

Another popular club is Copacabana. Found inside the casino, this venue provides you with the chance of trying your luck on the slot machines before making your way down towards the classy dance floor. A lot of the music is Latino and Brazilian-based sounds, so prepare yourself to embark on an unforgettable experience as you dance the night away.

The Dubai Club is made up of three amazing floors: the first floor is a disco, the second a lounge and the third a terrace that will give you a foodgasm thanks to the titillating aroma of the piquant delicacies in Dubai.

If you are looking for a chilled time with great cocktails and excellent music,then Trap will knock your socks off. There is no entrance fee, and there are two dance floors. The ground floor is a range of 80s music whilst the top floor is a mixture between house, electronic, pop and so forth. There is also an exterior area for more privacy. Trap is located in the heart of Funchal just next to the Dubai Club and the Pestana Hotel.
